Virginia Hobbysport is a retailer of model airplane supplies for the control line enthusiast, the free flight enthusiast, and the modeling crowd in general.

Our pricing...

The 'retail' price is determined by the manufacturer or the distributor in most cases.  We do our best to offer discounted pricing in the hope that you give us a chance to have you as a customer.  

We've got an inventory of balsa that'll knock your socks off.  We like to dig thru a batch of wood to find just the right piece(s), and we figure you do as well.  Since you can't, we'll do a little digging for you.  Most of our balsa originates from Lone Star Balsa.  We're trying to provide quality wood for those that want it.  And we hope that this distinguishes us from the rest. 

Our terms...

We can (at this point) accept orders via EMAIL, or by telephone - toll free - (866-359-8266).  Your email is not encrypted.  We'll need your credit card number (we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover), so you can include it or give it to us over the phone.  We also accept checks and money orders, though we'd like to wait for them to clear before we ship.

We also accept payment (mostly for international orders) thru PayPal. 

We'll do our best to get you what you want as soon as possible, and that usually means same day service. 

We can also do business with a fax machine.  Our fax is 703-503-5205.

Our shipping...

USPS (U.S. Postal Service) is preferred, though UPS(United Parcel Service) is next.  Want FedEx overnite?  No problem. 

We'll pass along shipping costs, but we'll do our best to keep it minimal.

We don't add a handling charge, as we see it as a component of overhead.  Most orders are shipped the same day they are received.  It is difficult for us to quote direct costs of shipping when using USPS.  They have a website that we use when setting up a ticket, but often as not, it isn't correct.  Many times we eat it, but sometimes it is grossly different.  We'll do our best.  What you could do, is get together with some friends, and combine an order.  And if your combined order is more than $1,256.17, we'll ship it at no charge.  What a deal, no?

International orders...

We've processed orders for Denmark, Australia, England, Belgium, France, Ireland, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, China, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Canada.  Email us for specifics, but USPS is typically the best method.
